Kali Chromebook Tutorial Instalation




Samsung ARM Chromebook ultraportable laptop is. It was quite a challenge, but I have Times image that goes well on Chromebook. Its specifications are Exynos 5250 1.7 GHz dual core processor and 2 GB of RAM, laptop ARM is Chromebook. KALI LINUX fit on an external SD card that is on this machine, which leaves the internal disk and untouched.

If you want to do is to install on Samsung ARM Chromebook, follow these instructions:
  1. Get SD card 8 GB which is nice and fast or a USB stick.
  2. Put You in the mode of Chromebook developers, and then enable USB boot.
  3. Download Time Samsung ARM Chromebook image from downloads area.
  4. Use the dd utility to create an image file to Your SD/USB device. In my example, I use a USB stick which is located at "/dev/sdb". Change as you need.


Attention: This process will erase the entire contents of a file to your SD Card. If you select the storage devices, you can remove the hard disk of your computer, please note well.

dd if=kali-chromebook.img of=/dev/sdb bs=512k
This process can take a while depending on the speed of your USB storage device and the size of the image.

After the operation is finished, boot dd Chromebook with SD/USB attached (not in the BLUE USB PORT!). On developer boot prompt, press CTRL + U, which is supposed to be your boot into Kali Linux. Login to Kali Linux with username = root and password = toor and startx. That's it, you're done!
