Nagios Configuration
We will continue with how the configuration of Nagios, the Nagios Configuration Step Step following
1. Install the Debian Linux operating system 7
2. configure the Ip Address

Edit file interfaces that reside in the directory "/etc/network" with the command.
#nano /et c/network/interfaces


When you've been doing the command, then the display will appear below.


Modify an existing script in the configuration file with the description:
"allow-hotplug" replaced with "auto", and the word "dhcp" replaced with "static" and under it in the content with ip wants we set and adjust. For more details please see the image below.




If it is, save and exit the configuration by pressing Ctrl + x then Y and then press enter.

Next restart configurasi interface with the command #/etc/init.d/networking restart


Now to see the ip just now we make by order "#ifconfig"


Install tools Nagios
Prepare the CD 1 and 2 for the installation nagiosnya, to find out the CD that are used with the command #apt-cdrom add


First to install Nagios with command #apt-get install nagios3

Notes:
When tools Nagios can not installed then replace the CD 1 or 2 to Nagios can be installed, do not complain to replace CD until some time Ok


To continue installation select "Y"


Wait for the installation process is complete


When the installation process is complete, it will be directly to the configuration of the package, there we are told to enter a password to use on the Web

Next we are told to confirm password TextBox

Next to the menu configuration localhost nagios by typing the command #nano /etc/nagios3/conf.d/localhost_nagios2.cfg


Please change the configuration of the host name on a "localhost", "alias" and "ip address" in accordance with the name and IP address of the desired

If it is, "save" and "exit" from the configuration by pressing "Ctrl + x" and "Y" and press enter.

Now we enter into his group nagios host configuration by typing the command #nano /etc/nagios3/conf.d/hostgroups_nagios2.cfg


Change the "members" with the "hostname" that had been made earlier on localhost before.

If it is, save and exit the configuration by pressing Ctrl + x then Y and then press enter.

Then restart nagios with command #service nagios3 restart


Checking in Web Clien
Set the first ip address in the clien. For the ip address we distinguish his ip with the server and for default gateway we use the ip address of the server.

Next we went into the browser and its web address input (default gateway) namely 192.168.1.19/nagios3

After that we are commanded to enter your username for the user name field, type "nagiosadmin" then with the password that was created earlier.

After login, you will go to the home page of Nagios
