Update to the latest version of Mozilla Firefox in Linux Mint
As one of the browser (search engine) that is widely used in the virtual world, Mozilla Firefox always trying to satisfy users with a variety of features that will increasingly facilitate users to roam in cyberspace. Therefore in each release of the latest version, there is always an increased performance and features of this browser. Therefore, if you want to enjoy the whole features provided with Firefox, then we should always update Firefox.

There are several ways to update Mozilla Firefox:

1. Utilize the official repository of Linux Mint.
Open a Terminal and type the command line:
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install firefox

(Of course the latest update to version that is in the repository on Linux Mint. Sometimes not the same as the latest version that is in the official website of Mozilla Firefox)

2. Download the latest version directly from Mozilla Firefox
  • Copy and paste the results of download and place it on the "Home" and extract the files.
  • Open a Terminal and then go to the Firefox folder
$ cd firefox
  • Type the command line to open the latest version of Firefox
$ firefox
  • The latest version of Firefox is open replace previous version
  • Next when opening Mozilla Firefox then open Mozilla Firefox latest version.
3. Update via PPA
Open a Terminal and type the command line:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-mozilla-security/ppa
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install firefox
